THE MISSION STATEMENT
We
are a spiritual organization founded on the
belief that wars are the result of man’s
theology masquerading as God’s theology or
Truth. God’s Theology permits each person
and group to worship the Creator according
to individual beliefs and culture. Killing
is not an option. However, something has
occurred on this planet to disrupt the unity
and harmony which are the legitimate
birthright of the children of God --- a
phrase which describes all human beings.
While religious differences have caused
division and immeasurable suffering, the
major religions of mankind have managed to
agree on this essential fact: The existence
of Evil. Down the long corridor of time,
Evil has been known by many names: Diabolos,
Diablo, Satan, Shatan, Lucifer, Ariman, The
Devil, The Prince of Darkness, and The Evil
One --- just to name a few. Personally, I
prefer to refer to Evil as “the enemy” for
the sake of simplicity. However, the
nomenclature is unimportant; what matters is
that most of the world accepts the premise
that Evil exists in the world as an entity
separate from, and in opposition to, good.
There are those who do not believe this,
who believe instead that evil is merely the
absence of good. I cannot agree with this in
any way. I believe that the very existence
of good demands the existence of evil. How
can there be an “up” if there is no “down”?
How can something be “hot” if there is no
“cold”? Can something be “outside” if
there’s no “inside”?
No, there is an Evil force that is in
opposition to the force of good. It exists.
It’s real. And it is the underlying cause of
the disunity which has always plagued
mankind.
Another apparent point of agreement among
the major religions is their recognition
that this Evil force must be overcome by the
believer. For example, in my belief system,
predicated on the Christian scriptures,
those who overcome the obstacles placed
before them by Evil will be the ones who
inherit the kingdom of God. The beliefs of
many other religions offer concepts which
parallel this one.
There are further points of mutual
agreement among the major belief systems.
For example, most religions believe in an
“end time” or an “end of the present age”
which precedes the return of their Deity
and/or the beginning of another age. In the
case of Christianity, Jesus reportedly
stated that one of the chief characteristics
of the end of the age would be unprecedented
Evil, of men “waxing worse and worse” in
their treatment of their fellow human
beings.
Like so many other spiritual teachers, I
believe that the signs of the times point to
our being at the “end of the present age”
--- whatever a particular belief system
might call it. I cite the current rise in
hatred to support this contention. Hatred
has not sprung up from a particular
religion, philosophy, or geo-political area.
The increase in hatred is a worldwide
phenomenon which has grown almost
unbelievably in the past quarter-century. It
is obvious that those who have adopted the
way of hatred are not following the precepts
of any religion, but are, in fact,
expressing a type of feeling for their
fellow human beings that is totally
unwarranted. Hatred has become a religion in
its own right, a brand new religion, and ---
in my opinion --- this new religion was
created by Evil itself in fulfillment of the
end-time prophecies of most of the worlds
belief systems. The enemy is making an
all-out push to divide and conquer humanity
by eliminating Love, and the time has come
for moral and ethical people around the
world to overcome this Evil with Love, as
the major faiths have taught for so very
long.
Humankind needs to remember that there is
only One Source, and that Truth never
contains a contradiction. Therefore,
everyone can embrace God’s Truth, God’s
theology, if just the core truth that
there’s only One Divine Source of Life from
which we all originated. This being true, we
are all related and disunity cannot possibly
be appropriate or beneficial for the human
race.
Yes, in my opinion, the time has come for
all of the people on this planet --- the
children of the One God --- to look the
enemy in the eye and declare that we will
not be deceived anymore. We will no longer
be duped into hating and fighting each other
for the entertainment of Evil. It’s high
time we human beings recognize, once and for
all, that we are family --- we’re brothers
and sisters --- and that our dislikes and
prejudices and petty differences and wars
have all been foisted upon us by an
invisible, yet powerful, Evil entity for its
own amusement. It’s time for us to unite,
stand up to this bully, and declare that
we’ve had enough of hatred. We’re tired of
animosity and disunity and disharmony. And
we’re not going to put up with it anymore.
Instead, we’re going to return to the
practice of loving one another.
HOW TO BEGIN
How can we apply this knowledge and
implement the decision to resist and conquer
the Evil force that has held us captive in
false ideas for so long? Answer: Teach God’s
Theology to everyone. It can be done. It
will, at least initially, be a slow process
but, like throwing a stone into water, it
will have a ripple effect, eventually
touching all by changing the very atmosphere
in which we all live, move, and have our
being.
Additionally, what’s needed is a group as
dedicated to freedom for humanity as the
enemy is dedicated to keeping us enslaved to
disunity and disharmony.
As a theologian, I would like to
implement the following plan. This plan
would require the active participation of
local clergy representing all faiths,
assembled for the express purpose of
creating and articulating a basic Universal
Theology that everyone, everywhere, can
embrace, a Theology based simply upon the
commonalities already cited in this article.
This Theology would then be shared with
their congregations, spreading both the idea
of our common heritage and the acceptance of
others which it fosters.
As the influence of this group grows,
more influential clergy would be invited to
join this experience of connecting at this
basic level of Theology while honoring each
other’s differences and contributing to the
Universal Theology. More groups would later
be convened as the Universal Theology became
more widely known and accepted.
Yes. I, too, have a dream. I dream of a
time when the clergy of all religions will
teach their people that we are all created
in the image of God, by whatever name S/He
is called, and that, therefore, all people
on Earth are brothers and sisters. I dream
of a time when all people will know that
Unconditional Love is the greatest force in
the world, that God is Love, and that we can
live together with our differences in peace
and harmony.
The founders of every religion have
spoken enthusiastically of a time when all
people will come together as one in God.
When I see people helping people in a time
of crisis, it proves to me that there is
basic goodness in everyone.
Reconciliation will happen sooner or
later.
Why not sooner?
